What a "fun" foggy day in the coppice! I just wanted to cut one hazel stool but it ended up taking two others down with it! What a mess! Not to mention the extreme mud!

A frosty day back in Hamstreet NNR. I think it even snowed a little bit! You can't beat a bit of fresh winter air. Something else has been enjoying the space too, prowling about the coppiced logs and leaving its prints in the icey snow. Not sure what it is, a fox maybe?!

Now the festivities are over we're back out coppicing!
This is mostly hornbeam at Hamstreet NNR. This is to widen the ride edge and create varied ages of regrowth. Hopefully, the dormice approve!
