Janet's garden at Applewood. janet`s garden. Janet`s garden is situated near the Essex Sunshine Coast and faces west towards farmland and the Colne Estuary.

It is about 200ft x 60 ft and has imformal borders, curvy lawns, gravel garden, vegetable and fruit patch and a mini woodland. Down the bottom is a natural stream where ferns thrive. The spring that feeds the stream is about a mile away. The garden attracts a lot of wildlife. We have a few Slow worms in the compost bins, frogs and Newts in the pond, hedgehogs, toads, woodpeckers, owls and even Mu

ntjac Deer. There are four Chickens called Amber, Star, ruby and Speckeldy who lay eggs every day. We are in one of the driest parts of England and most of the time the weather is better than other parts. We have lived here for 14 years and hopefully a long time as long as I`m fit enough to look after it!
