Installing Loft Shelving Kits

When it comes to new-build properties, this is the only type of shelving we will install to ensure we remain within NHBC requirements.

These shelving kits are specifically designed for use with roof trusses, with a maximum load of 12kg per shelf. This helps prevent overloading and placing unnecessary weight and pressure on the trusses.

⚠️ We strongly advise against using timber and boarding across your trusses without the correct considerations. Adding excessive materials and weight to a new-build roof structure can put unnecessary pressure on the trusses and potentially cause issues with warranties.

When it comes to new builds and warranties, Scot Baillie Joinery will always put compliance and quality first. Whether we’re flooring your loft or installing shelving kits, we will always work in line with the relevant NHBC requirements.

Another day, another loft transformation 🤔😁

Today’s job completed in Kilmarnock for a returning customer — always great to have customers come back to you!

We installed 11.5 square metres of loft boarding, raised correctly on a stilt system to allow adequate airflow, while avoiding any compression of the insulation or interference with existing services.

💡 6ft LED batten light fitted by the electrician, with an accessible switch.

🪜 Werner FreeStage drop-down loft ladder installed, complete with a stowing pole for easy and convenient access.

Another happy customer and another job complete! 🙌

And remember — with our 10 square metre and over package, the ladder is included FREE.

The job was completed by 11:30am today. I arrived and started setting up just around 9:00am, taking the time to properly cover and protect the customer’s floors before starting.
