It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Marion Elsie Miller (nee Smith) aged 76 years on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at ARI. Dearly loved mum of David, Richard, Alan and Ian, mum-in-law to Mandy, Debbie, Rachel and Donna, cherished and immensely proud granny to Josh, Ellie, Ewan, Seth, Darcie, Summer, Cami and Hana and former wife and dear friend of Frank. Funeral service to be held at Echt Parish Church on Saturday, September 12 at 11.00am, thereafter interment private. All friends respectfully invited. Family flowers only please but donations if desired at the church door to SSPCA, Drumoak.

It is with the deepest sadness that we share the passing of Granny Miller (Marion)

After a lengthy battle she sadly passed last night.

A ferocious business women and a big part of the Miller Plant journey over many years, she will be a big miss to us all.

Funeral arrangements to follow in due course.

🪨From Crushing to Construction – All In-House 🪨

Our new Powerscreen PT450 Jaw Crusher and Powerscreen 1000 Maxtrak Cone Crusher hard at work producing Type 1 for some of our latest contracts.

At Miller Plant, we have the capability to be self-sufficient – producing our own materials, transporting them to site and carrying out the earthworks to lay them.

From quarry to finished job, we have the equipment, transport and team to deliver the full package.

🚧 Phase One Nearing Completion – Fort Augustus Substation

Phase one of Miller Plant’s works at Fort Augustus Substation is nearing completion.

Works so far have included CDM areas, laydown areas and access roads, with great progress being made across the site.

Another project moving forward for the Miller Plant earthworks team. 💪

Out With the Old, In With the New!

That’s our new Liebherr PR 726 dozer home and ready to join the Miller Plant fleet, while our trusty PR 724 heads away nearly 11 years after she first came home.

We’ve included a photo of the 724 from when she first arrived with us all those years ago. She’s put in plenty of hard work since then and has been a great machine for Miller Plant.

Now it’s time for the new 726 to take her place and start the next chapter. 💪

🚜 New Machines on Show at the Black Isle Show 🚜

The Miller Plant team has been at the Black Isle Show today, checking out our latest additions to the fleet – the CAT 330 excavator and the Liebherr PR 726 dozer.

We’re looking forward to getting these machines into the fleet and out to work, continuing our investment in modern, reliable equipment to support our plant hire, quarrying, and earthworks operations.

Keep an eye on our page over the coming weeks as these new additions arrive and get ready for work.

🏁 Not Your Usual Afternoon at Miller Plant! 🚗

There was a bit of a change in the yard this afternoon as the Melvyn Evans Motorsport rally team called in after a day’s testing on the Hill of Fare.

The team stopped by to wash and make the final preparations to their rally cars ahead of this weekend’s Grampian Forest Rally.

It was great to have them at Miller Plant, and we’d like to wish the whole team the very best of luck for the weekend.

💥 Growing the Crushing Fleet 💥

We’ve just taken delivery of our new Powerscreen PT450 Jaw Crusher, which has already gone straight to work in Findon Quarry.

Joining it is our new Powerscreen 1000 Maxtrak Cone Crusher, which has also arrived and is already out on its first job.

It’s great to see these new additions already making an impact as we continue to invest in modern equipment and expand our crushing and screening fleet
