A New Chapter for Caledonia Electrical Highlands Ltd ⚡

A quick update for all of our customers and followers.

I’ve decided to move forward independently and will no longer be involved in the day-to-day running of the Caledonia Plumbing & Electrical Ltd page.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported the business over the year, and I wish the plumbing side of the business all the very best for the future.

While doing an EICR the other week, we came across this…

No dedicated earthing terminal from the DNO (earths were in with the neutrals)

So we had to call the emergency line for SSE and have them come out and install a new service head.

Blessing in disguise really, as the new set up is 10x neater…

Clearly over time, every other sparky has just left this and went on their way… they had the board changed just a couple years ago too 😂

This has taken me AGES to complete, because I done everything myself, along side working everyday. Thank god it’s finally finished.

It’s funny swapping out old electrical stuff.

Changed a board in this ancient house and the fuse board was made from wood 🤣

All jokes aside, what a coat of varnish it’s got on it

A new Egyptian food van, operating at River Ness.

We’ve recently helped with the electrical side on this one, to get it over the line.

We had a sample of the fried prawns in batter and they were amazing.

So if you like Egyptian food, get yourself down there.

PIV unit fitted the other week.

We have a customer that is having serious condensation issues.

Our solution to this was installing a PIV unit in the loft. This works by pushing out filtered air into your home, from the loft. It runs 24/7 and forces stale/humid air out of your home via any gaps.

We are waiting for an update on this one over the coming months on how well it’s working.

This is also a great solution for mould and damp issues.

Working out in Dingwall at a returning customers house. He has a pet sanctuary basically. He has a few parrots and they seemingly love the Mexican hat dance.
