I will only ever fit something to your house that I would fit to my own. I see far too many poor quality "security" locks on an almost daily occurance.

As a registered Mul-T-Lock dealer I cannot recommend enough the added security of the MTL300 cylinders. They can be built to the same key, come with restricted security keys and offer £5000 consumer cashback guarantee should you ever be broken into through the cylinder!!

MTL™300 Break Secure® 3XP Pro is a high-security, 3-star cylinder designed to meet the evolving challenges of forced entry.

Built to exceed the latest BS EN1303 Grade 6, SS312 Diamond standards, and TS007 3-star attack tests, the 3XP Pro combines:
🔹 Enhanced durability – over 1,000,000 operational cycles tested
🔹 Advanced protection – sacrificial end design blocks forced entry
🔹 Secure key control – patent-protected dimple keys prevent unauthorised duplication
🔹 Versatile compatibility – ideal for residential, commercial, and public sector applications

MTL™300 Break Secure® 3XP Pro is about staying ahead of threats, offering reliable protection, strong physical security, and long-term access control.

From homes and healthcare facilities to schools and government buildings, this cylinder is engineered for safety and peace of mind, while integrating seamlessly into existing master key systems.

A recent client was moving home and requested some additional locking to help feel safe. We replaced the existing Yale deadlocking nightlatch and fitted a new BS3621 deadlock further down the door, in addition to replacing two worn mortice bolts. Additionally, we fitted TS007 3* cylinders and secondary Sashstop Jammers to the rear door ensuring their home far exceeds insurance requirements and providing them with enhanced security and peace of mind.

If your locks need an upgrade, or you would like to feel safer in your own home, please get in touch. There are improved solutions for almost everything.

Are your aluminium doors dragging on the floor, failing to close, or refusing to lock securely? Several factors can contribute to these problems, including improper installation, loose fastenings, worn or corroded lower pivot bearings, and malfunctioning door closers. As you can see, there is a solution for everything.

Please get in touch if your commercial doors are causing you grief.

We were recently asked to replace the locks and service these Marshalls Rhino car posts which are prone to water and dirt ingress when in the unlocked position. These telescopic posts are commonly found at car dealerships and outside commercial roller shutters, serving as secondary security measures.

Please get in touch if you need your car posts servicing or lock and key replacements.

There are Locksmiths, and there are MLA qualified master Locksmiths...

Have you been the victim of a scam locksmith? Please report it to help prevent it happening to someone else.

We’re seeing real momentum in our rogue trader campaign, and it’s not just down to the January media coverage. What you’re seeing now is the culmination of months of strategic work by the MLA alongside TV, enforcement support and regulatory engagement.

Since the end of January, we’ve:
✅ Had further TV coverage (including local news items with MLA member contributions)
✅ Gained wider online and press coverage
✅ ️ Continued working with a BBC investigative reporter (with more potentially to come)
✅ Supported locksmiths (member and non-member) and consumers with MP letter templates — and many MPs have now been contacted
✅ Submitted expert witness statements + complaints log data into three formal investigations (with hoped-for prosecutions)
✅ Kept up sustained work with consumer protection and regulatory bodies — now showing positive movement

Crucially, more consumers are now coming forward to share their experiences. That helps the wider case for change, and it also means we can help people understand reporting routes and possible next steps.

Locked Out. Not Caught Out.
Campaign materials you can download and share are coming soon.

A valued client recently got in touch to see about replacing a snapped bifold door handle. A site visit followed to fit a new handle and four sets of chlorine-damaged bifold doors were serviced, height-adjusted and left as good as ever.

If you have any lock-related problems, big or small, please do not hesitate to get in contact.
