We’ve been back to our returning customer this time to give their staircase a new lease of life by replacing the old newels and hand rails with solid oak adding a sense of extra space and light into the hall way whilst also giving it a modern feel and matching the door’s we fitted last time 🙃

Purpose: To achieve a perfect, gap-free fit, particularly when installing cabinets, baseboards, molding, or countertops against uneven walls.
Process: The component (e.g., filler strip) is held securely in position. A marking tool—often a compass, pencil, or specialized scribe—follows the uneven surface while tracing the shape onto the workpiece.
Cutting & Finishing: The waste material is cut away, often with a jigsaw, and the edge is sometimes back-beveled for an even tighter fit, ensuring the front edge touches first.
