Anyone like insulation??

Another project making great progress!

The team have been busy constructing the internal timber stud partition walls using a robust 4” x 2” timber framework. Once the partitions were erected, the first layer of fire-rated plasterboard was installed before fitting the 100mm insulation, ready for the the other sides first layer and then a second layer before final layer MDF

Now, let’s be honest…

It’s itchy, awkward and definitely not the favourite job on site, but it’s an essential part of creating a safe, compliant and high-performing building that meets today’s fire and acoustic standards.

Another great effort from the lads, with quality workmanship and attention to detail throughout. We’re looking forward to sharing the next stages of the project as it continues to take shape.

🚧 PROJECT SPOTLIGHT – EMERGENCY STRUCTURAL REPAIRS 🚧

It’s time to shine the spotlight on another project that demonstrates the breadth of services we offer at Saxon Wells Developments Ltd.

We were recently called to an emergency situation after a vehicle unfortunately lost control and collided with the front elevation of a fully operational doctors’ surgery.

The impact caused significant damage to the structure, including the concrete blockwork and rendered external finish. Thankfully, nobody was injured.

Following a structural engineer’s assessment and recommendations, our client appointed Saxon Wells Developments to deliver the complete package—from making the site safe and carrying out the necessary strip-out works, through to reporting, coordinating the repairs and fully reinstating the building.

Our priority from the outset was to ensure the building remained safe, minimise disruption to the surgery and its patients, and deliver the works within a demanding timescale. This required careful planning, close coordination and, at times, working away and outside normal operating hours to keep the project moving.

This is just the beginning of the story. Over the coming weeks we’ll be sharing the progress of this challenging project, from the initial damage and temporary safety measures through to the complete reinstatement of the building.

🔨 PROJECT UPDATE – OFFICE REFRESH 🔨

Sometimes it’s the smaller changes that make the biggest impact.

We were recently asked to transform a small office space by creating a more contemporary, industrial look while breaking up the existing décor.

To achieve this, our team installed cement boards to create a modern industrial feature wall, complemented by warm brown acoustic timber slat cladding. The combination of textures not only gives the space a fresh new appearance but also creates a more inviting and professional working environment.

🔨 PROJECT UPDATE – BESPOKE BOARDROOM & MEDIA WALL 🔨

With the kitchen breakout area completed, our attention turned to creating a modern boardroom that would provide a professional meeting space while complementing the new office layout.

Our team constructed a bespoke timber partition wall, finished with smooth MDF panelling to create a clean, contemporary look. To add character and continuity throughout the space, we incorporated black acoustic slatted wall cladding, tying in with the design of the breakout area.

To maximise natural light without compromising privacy, we also repurposed existing glass panels within the partition. This sustainable approach not only reduced waste but created a bright, open feel while maintaining the privacy expected from a boardroom environment.

The feature media wall has been designed to accommodate modern presentation technology, creating a practical and professional space for meetings, collaboration and client presentations.

A Message for Johnny Boy ❤️

On behalf of everyone who followed your journey, we want to say thank you. Thank you for all the laughs, the memories, and for letting us be a small part of your grandad's life. We were truly privileged to witness the incredible bond you both shared, and we'll always be grateful for that.

You stood by your grandad every single day. You dedicated your time, your love, and your life to making sure he was happy. You made him your number one priority, repaying him for everything he did while raising you. That loyalty and love are something to be admired.

Your journey has taught so many people an important lesson: cherish your grandparents while you still can, be there for them, and never take a moment for granted. You stayed by his side until the very end, and you can hold your head high knowing you gave him everything.

We're all proud of you, mate and we're sure your grandad would be too.
