🌸 Spirit Month is back!
For the second consecutive year, our teams came together to celebrate Spirit Month, a month dedicated to our culture, well-being, connection, and, of course, having fun along the way! πŸ’œ

From team activities and shared experiences to acts of kindness, personal challenges, and opportunities to connect with one another, it was fantastic to see everyone get involved and bring the spirit of the month to life.

We’re also delighted to share that the winning team chose to turn their prize into an opportunity to give back. Their donations were made to Farleigh Hospice, Cancer Research UK, Melanoma UK, and Breast Cancer Now - supporting organisations doing important work for patients, families, and communities. πŸ’—

Once again, Spirit Month has shown what we can achieve when we come together, support one another, and make a positive difference beyond our workplace. A huge thank you to everyone who took part and helped make it such a success. Your enthusiasm, creativity, and team spirit made the month truly special!

✨ Heritage Works: Protecting Architectural History
Working on historic and listed buildings requires a different approach. Every project comes with its own history, detailing, and craftsmanship, and the challenge is to preserve these qualities and make sure the building continues to meet the needs of today and tomorrow.

At Vision Arch, heritage works are a specialist part of our expertise. We work closely with clients, design teams, heritage organisations, and other stakeholders to develop bespoke solutions that respect the architectural significance of each building while addressing the practical challenges of restoration.

Our experience includes some of the UK’s most significant heritage projects. At Kew Gardens’ Grade I listed Temperate House, we restored the glazing rafters and replaced 15,000 panes of glass, with each element carefully recorded and reinstated to preserve the original design. At the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, more than 5,000 panes of glass were replaced within the historic Victorian glasshouse, with each pane precisely modelled to retain its distinctive character while meeting modern standards.

More recently, at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, we led the replacement of 2,500 mΒ² of roof glazing and clerestory windows, improving watertightness, acoustic performance, and environmental efficiency while preserving the integrity of the Grade I listed building.

These projects demonstrate the importance of combining specialist technical knowledge with a genuine respect for the buildings and craftsmanship of the past. From meticulous restoration to bespoke modern interventions, Vision Arch continues to help ensure that historic structures remain relevant, functional, and appreciated for generations to come.

A summer of football, on and off site. With the World Cup bringing football fever this summer and the new Premier League season just around the corner, our on-site team got into the spirit with a match of their own.

Collins Construction recently brought the team together for a friendly football match at one of our live projects in London, a great opportunity to step away from the day-to-day, get together, and enjoy some healthy competition.

✨ Glass Balustrades: Shaping How a Space Feels
Whether overlooking an atrium, lining a staircase or defining the edge of a balcony, glass creates a sense of openness that other materials simply can't achieve. It allows light to flow, preserves views and makes spaces feel larger, all while delivering the performance expected from a modern safety barrier.

Of course, there's far more to a glass balustrade than meets the eye. The specification of the glass, structural loading, fixing details and post-breakage performance all play a part in creating a system that's both safe and visually refined. We've delivered glass balustrade systems across a range of commercial projects, including Fulham Centre, 7 Princes Street and the Olympic Velodrome, each requiring a solution tailored to the architecture and the way people use the space.

Great buildings are the result of expertise, precision, and attention to detail at every stage. We recently captured some behind-the-scenes images from specialist glazing works at one of our completed London projects. The operation involved carefully planned works at level 7, coordinated around a live building and a busy city environment.

Delivering works of this nature requires a high level of coordination between all teams involved, ensuring the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and quality are maintained throughout the process.

Our Annual Company Day, held in June at the beautiful Bedford Lodge Hotel in Newmarket, was a fantastic opportunity to bring the entire Vision Arch team together.

The day began with company updates from our leadership team, celebrating our achievements over the past year while sharing our vision and plans for the future. Of course, it wasn't all business! We enjoyed team-building activities, a wonderful lunch together, and rounded off the day with some friendly competition at Red Lodge Karting.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the day such a success. Days like these remind us that while delivering great work is important, it's the people behind it who truly make Vision Arch what it is.
