Project Complete: New Timber Access Staircase

From weathered and worn to safe, sturdy, and beautifully renewed — we’re proud to share this recent transformation.

We replaced an aged, unstable external staircase leading to this upper barn loft with a fully compliant, high‑quality new timber structure. We kept the original steps where possible, while fitting new pressure‑treated timber handrails, balustrades, and a reinforced landing — built to last and perfectly matched to the character of this traditional brick and weatherboard building.

✅ Joinery & Door Hanging Complete

Another job finished to our high standards — precise, neat, and built to last.

🔨 What we carried out:
• Hung the door from start to finish — including fitting hinges, alignment, and all adjustments
• Installed white skirting boards, door frames, and architraves
• Precision cutting, tight joints, and clean finishing on all timberwork
• Perfect fit and alignment throughout — every detail checked

• Flooring was already laid
• Plasterwork was already complete
• All joinery, door hanging, and trimming work completed

Another job complete✅: built this stub wall to divide off this section.

The main detail here was scribing every sheet of plywood to follow the uneven shape of the flint wall exactly. It took real care and patience to get the lines right, but the result is a perfect, tight fit.

We made sure to leave all the original timber beams and stonework fully exposed, keeping the building’s character and history right at the centre of the design, while adding a solid, clean new structure.

Really pleased with how this one turned out. 🧱🪵🛠️

Another beautiful installation finished — this striking contemporary slatted fence with sturdy concrete posts and gravel boards. Clean lines, strong structure, and built to last. Not only does it look sleek and tidy, but it gives complete privacy and security, while blending naturally with the garden and surrounding homes.
