Annual Pre Winter Hedge Trim 🌳

Conifer hedge trim completed, sharpening up what was already a fantastic outdoor space.

A good hedge cut can make a huge difference creating clean lines, improving the overall appearance and keeping the garden looking well maintained throughout Winter 👌

Another job completed to a high standard, with plenty of attention to detail from start to finish.

Cherry Tree Pollard 🌳

Why do we Pollard you ask? Well let me inform you 👇

Reduce the overall crown size where the tree has outgrown its available space.

Manage clearance from buildings, roads, paths, power lines or other infrastructure.
Reduce branch weight and leverage where selected limbs are becoming excessively long/heavy.

Manage a tree with previous pollard points continuing an established pollard regime can sometimes be preferable to creating a completely new one.

Manage a mature tree where retention is desirable but its current dimensions cannot be accommodated.

Create/re-establish a formal pollard head where there is an appropriate historic or management reason.

Reduce exposure of vulnerable limbs in situations where the crown has become excessively extended, although this needs proper tree risk assessment rather than assuming pollarding removes the hazard.

And now you know all about Pollards 👌😂
..also music to the video was chosen by my 11 year old son 🫡.
