🎉 This year marks an incredible milestone for our Regional Sales Manager for Scotland, Alan Greenshields, who is celebrating 30 years with the business.
Over the past three decades, Alan has played a significant role in our growth and success through his dedication, expertise and commitment. To mark the occasion, we asked him to reflect on his journey so far...
“30 years. One incredible journey.
Back in early 1996, I received a call from Marubeni Komatsu Ltd asking me if I would be interested in joining their newly formed team in Scotland taking up the position as an Equipment Sales Representative. I was in my early twenties, not long finished my Mechanical Apprenticeship, never imagining where that first step would eventually take me.
Three decades later working with the Komatsu brand has been an incredible experience. Like any long career, it hasn’t been without its challenges, but thankfully there have been far more ups than downs — and the memories, experiences and relationships built along the way with both colleagues, suppliers and customers have made it all worthwhile.
I’m hugely grateful to the Marubeni Group for the opportunities, trust and investment in my career over the years. I’ve been fortunate to work with some great people and to have developed both personally and professionally along the way.
And now, as we begin a new chapter for Komatsu equipment distribution and support in the UK with McHale Komatsu, I’m incredibly excited about what lies ahead.
I’m confident this new partnership will go from strength to strength and continue to build on Komatsu’s outstanding reputation as the customer’s first choice for premium earthmoving equipment, backed by McHale Komatsu’s first-class service.
Thirty years in, and plenty to look forward to.
