Not my favourite kind of job… but every job matters! 🔧

Out this morning to finish the plumbing under a sink after a new kitchen had been installed. I don’t know what it is with kitchen fitters, but they do love leaving us a little under-sink puzzle! 😂

With the sink, hot and cold supplies and two appliance wastes all squeezed into one cupboard, it was always going to look busy. We worked with the space available, found the best practical solution, secured everything and thoroughly tested it for leaks.

Everything is now connected and working as it should. ✅

I’ve got another very similar job booked for Tuesday—still not my favourite, but they all need doing! 😂

We don’t only turn up for big boiler installations and full bathroom refurbishments. Small plumbing jobs are just as important, and every customer receives the same care and effort.

🔨 ANOTHER SPECTACULAR JOB FROM DANNY! 👏🔥

We were asked by an estate company we regularly work for to completely refurbish this very outdated bathroom — and this one definitely wasn’t straightforward!

The previous layout and the size of the room made designing it difficult enough, but to make things even more interesting, there was an internal soil stack boxed in through the property with fittings that were probably older than Danny! 😂

But as usual… Danny pulled it off with no problems. 💪

Just because this was an estate-company job for a rented property doesn’t mean our standards drop. The tenant still deserves a bathroom that looks great, works properly and is somewhere she can actually relax after a hard day’s graft.

We worked with her throughout the refurbishment to make sure we got the best possible result from the space.

Once the old bathroom was removed, we also discovered problems with the flooring, so the bathroom floor was replaced before moving forward with the new installation.

✅ Bathroom completely remodelled with a new layout
✅ New bathroom flooring
✅ Fully wet boarded
✅ New bath
✅ Electric shower
✅ New shower screen
✅ New towel radiator
✅ Plumbing altered to suit the new design
✅ Fully sealed and checked for leaks

What started as a tired, awkward bathroom has been transformed into a fresh, modern space for the tenant to enjoy. 🛁✨

🔥 Well… today definitely didn’t go to plan! 😂🔧

Started the day heading out to fit an ASHP, only for the job to get cancelled 😡

So I thought, no problem… I’ll pick my daughter Abbey up, take her for some lunch and finally give the van a good clean.

How wrong was I! 😂

Picked Abbey up and instead of going for lunch, she somehow ended up labouring for me all afternoon! 🤣

🔧 Capped off a gas pipe & removed a radiator
🔥 Piped up ready for a new cooker before the kitchen fitter goes in — no gas currently required, so safely capped at the meter
🔥 Went to cap off a gas fire… which quickly turned into a FULL fireplace removal!
🧱 So much for cleaning the van — it’s now full of rubble! 😂

Then to finish the day, we ended up back in Great Harwood at Lee’s, the creator of the Hello Hyndburn website — a brilliant community hub covering all sorts of local needs and definitely worth checking out. 👏

And finally…

Thanks Abbey! ❤️ We eventually got that lunch… except it had turned into tea at 6pm! 😂

Picked you up at dinner time and accidentally gave you a full shift instead! 🤣🔧

🔥🔧 FIRST BOILER INSTALLATION — AND HE’S SMASHED IT! 🔧🔥

Our apprentice is back after a well-earned break, and what a way to get back into it! 💪

Today he fitted his first boiler, and honestly, we’re seriously impressed with how he’s done. 👏🔥

Everyone has to start somewhere, and seeing the confidence and skills coming together is what it’s all about. Another big milestone ticked off! ✅

Well done mate — plenty more boilers to come! 👊🔧🔥

🔥 FIRST BOILER INSTALL FOR DAMION 🔥

Really proud of this one today 👏

My older apprentice Damion completed his first boiler replacement, with me there supervising and checking everything along the way.

What makes it even better is he’s only been back with me 2 days after spending over 6 months working in another field — and he’s come back focused and ready to crack on. 💪

Looking at the pipework and finished installation, I couldn’t be happier with the standard he’s produced. 🔧🔥

He’s getting very close to the point where I’ll be confident sending him out to tackle jobs on his own.

I’ve spent a lot of time training my apprentices, so seeing it starting to pay off is a great feeling.

Now I just need to get both apprentices fully up and running on their own…

Then maybe I can finally start doing a bit less work myself 😂😂

🔧 NOT ALL JOBS ARE SMOOTH SAILING! 🔧

I was originally called out to replace some badly installed waste pipework at the back of this property. What looked like a fairly straightforward job soon turned into a bit more than expected!

As soon as I started, it became clear the existing pipework was extremely brittle and had actually broken internally. To make things more difficult, there was a vanity unit directly above the pipework that needed removing to gain proper access.

I was already pushed for time, but every customer is important to me, so I squeezed the job in as soon as I could.

🚿 Shower pipework sorted
🔧 Vanity unit removed for access
💧 Damaged/brittle waste pipework replaced
🚽 Returned 3 days later to reinstall the vanity and complete the pipework properly

Because of how the original pipework had been squeezed into position, I had to slightly alter the route, which meant using an additional elbow underneath the basin.

Sometimes when you’re correcting somebody else’s previous work, you can’t start with a blank canvas — you have to work with what’s already there and find the best solution.

The important thing is that it’s now properly connected, working as it should and looking as neat as possible.

Another unexpected job sorted. ✅
