TUNNEL VISION | Cameras go live tomorrow! 🚨
From Monday 19 October, new road safety cameras at the Kingsway Tunnel will become operational.
The technology has been introduced to help identify dangerous driving behaviours such as:
Using a mobile phone while driving and not wearing a seatbelt, both of which put lives at risk, and are entirely avoidable.
Now, as the cameras prepare to go live, our message is simple:
✅ Put your phone away before you drive.
✅ Make sure everyone is wearing their seatbelt.
✅ Keep your attention on the road.
This isn’t just about identifying offences. It’s about preventing collisions, protecting lives and helping everyone get home safely.
