Things to look out for include:

This boiler flue had been enclosed incorrectly during building work and needed to be corrected properly.

Dominic removed the existing flue, rerouted it safely and made sure the installation was completed as it should be.

The customer could then safely have heating and hot water restored.

It is always worth checking that any boiler, flue or gas appliance work has been completed by a qualified Gas Safe registered engineer. Getting it done properly protects your home, your heating system and your safety.

🔧 Making the flue safe and compliant.

Following on from our previous video, Dominic continued the work to correct a boiler flue that had been enclosed incorrectly during building work.

The existing flue needed to be removed and rerouted through the side wall so the installation could be completed safely and correctly.

Flue positioning matters. It is not just about where the pipe goes — it is about making sure the boiler can operate safely and that gases are removed from the property as they should be.

This is why boiler and flue work should always be carried out by a qualified Gas Safe registered engineer.

⚠️ Boiler flues should never be enclosed or altered incorrectly.

On this job, Dominic was called out to sort a boiler flue that had been enclosed during building work and needed to be corrected properly.

The plan was to remove the existing flue and reroute it safely through the side wall, making sure the installation was completed correctly so the customer could safely have heating and hot water.

Boiler flues play an important role in safely removing gases from the property. If a flue has been enclosed, altered or installed incorrectly, it should always be checked by a qualified Gas Safe registered engineer.
