A suburb Devon Roebuck taken some weeks ago during the rut. Took at least an hour to get into position from the time he was first seen over 600m as the crow flies but a whole lot more navigating the slopes and Valley and finding gaps et cetera. Hell of an extraction but well worth it. Happy Farmer with some venison in the freezer.

Little one came to say hello. Beautiful to see.

Always nice to get an invite out. Despite the hot weather.

Not a lot of sleep with the clocks going forward, but a beautiful morning to be out.

Deer Trivia: Mythical White Deer
White stags appear throughout mythology and many cultures. Killing a white deer was often considered very unlucky.

In Celtic myths, white deer were other-worldly messengers whose appearance could change lives, for good or bad. In Arthurian legend, the uncatchable white stag symbolises mankind’s continual quest for knowledge, a theme echoed in The Chronicles of Narnia, where the White Stag is said to grant wishes to whoever catches it.
