This was an area where grass wouldn’t grow , No sun and flanked by trees sapping all the moisture .

Prepping the soil and using the right seed makes all the difference, we can already see signs of life 👍🏽🌱

Although the grass will stop growing now , let’s see what spring 2025 brings 🤞

Is your lawn ready for winter?
These are the jobs you need to do pre winter to enhance your lawns health .

Cut your lawn - You can cut your lawn during autumn up to mid November , depending on the weather - pick a dry day when the top moisture has evaporated and cut on a high level -around 4cm

Rake/Scarify - clear as much thatch as you can from your lawn , this will help with aeration and prevent moss build up .

Clear up - clear up leaves as they fall, they are not good for your lawn !

Spike it - you need to aerate your lawn , you can do this with a fork , just sink the fork in as far as it will go , push it forward slightly , this will improve drainage and allow air to the roots

Feed it - it is a good time to give your lawn an autumn feed , there are plenty of good quality products on the market ,

All the above need doing before the frost sets in , don’t delay 😀
