As we come to the end of the year, I wanted to take a moment to reflect.
This message is from me, Nick.

✨ The Wins
This has been our strongest year yet not just financially, but in building a business that genuinely reflects our values. We invested heavily in our systems to support long term growth 💻📈, took a leap and launched a leak detection company that went on to triple its target 🎯🔍, added three new vehicles to the fleet 🚐✨ and secured long term contracts that continue to strengthen our foundations.

Along the way, we’ve reached a position where we can be more selective with the work we take on, ensuring it aligns with our standards. It’s also allowed me to step back from the tools and focus more on growing the business, a big change, but an important one.

⚠️ The Challenges
It hasn’t all been smooth sailing. Two vehicles were written off 🚧, we were reminded that not everyone is sincere, and I’ve continued to navigate the challenge of finding a healthy work-life balance. There’s always more to do, improve and change, but every challenge has been a chance to learn and grow.

🚧💧 MAINS LEAK REPAIR – TEAMWORK AT ITS FINEST! 💧🚧

When we say our engineers are dedicated… we really mean it! 👷‍♂️💪
One of our engineers ended up covered head-to-toe in mud to get this leak found and repaired 🤎🪣

🔎 PBD Leak Detection:
Attended to locate the incoming mains leak, excavate, expose the pipework and identify multiple leaks along the mains.

🔧 PBD Plumbing & PBD Leak Detection:
Both teams worked together to carry out repairs, completing three fixes on the lead pipework.

Another job successfully completed alongside one another, combining our skills to get the best result for the customer. 🤝🩵

Our PBD Leak Detection team pinpointed 3+ leaks on the old lead supply.

🤝 Joint assessment with PBD Plumbing
After reviewing the findings, we advised the customer that the best long-term fix would be a full water main replacement.

🚫🪓 Removal of old lead Pipework
Ensuring the property has a safer, upgraded supply line.

🚰 Installation of a brand-new 25mm MDPE main. Future-proofing the property and providing stronger, more reliable water pressure throughout the home.

🚨 Emergency Sunday call-out to one of our MSL sites.

❌ The site was without hot water and needed it to keep trading.

👷‍♂️👷‍♂️ 2 engineers attended site and replaced both the top and bottom immersion heaters

💧 All facilities were back up and running in no time.

No rest for PBD when duty calls 💪✨

🚨 Challenging Job Completed for AXA Partners UK 🚨

We recently attended a property on behalf of AXA Partners UK after it had proven to be a particularly difficult case to resolve. Multiple attempts had been made to get the issue addressed — and we were proud to step in and get it over the line.

The problem? A lead water pipe with four pinhole leaks throughout the property, causing major disruption to the customer’s water supply.

Our engineer was on-site from 9am to 7pm, carrying out a full replacement of the affected lead pipework with new copper piping, along with new connections to toilets and stopcocks.

✅ All work completed
✅ Facilities restored the same day
✅ A very happy customer and client
