Over the past 2 days my eldest son, Stanley, has joined me on his ‘shadowing work placement’ through his secondary school, and what an absolute privilege it’s been. It provided an opportunity for Stanley to see what I do, to watch his inquisitive mind at fault finding, and to have his company.
Being self-employed can be lonely sometimes (not always a bad thing!) but I’ve really enjoyed sharing our observations from each job, and to watch the next generation engage with customers, suppliers and the wider world.
