Dans' Good Wood Shop

🔨 ONE CUSTOMER. TWO VERY DIFFERENT JOBS. ONE TRUSTED TEAM! 💪

We've been keeping busy over in Penyffordd, North Wales, where Dan and Stuart have been tackling two very different projects for the same customer!

🪵 Job 1 – New timber fencing

A fresh run of sturdy timber fencing, replacing the old boundary and giving the area a much smarter finish.

🏠 Job 2 – Barn roof refurbishment

Stripping away the old, weathered felt shingles, replacing damaged OSB boarding and installing new roofing underlay and black roof shingles.

And all for the same customer - Because at Dan's Good Wood Shop, we offer a range of services without the hassle of organising multiple tradespeople.

🌳 FROM PEAR TREE TO SOMETHING A LITTLE DIFFERENT! 🪵

We've had these lovely chunks of pear wood drying out for quite some time, originally from a tree here on the Wirral.

We're thinking of turning them into rustic wooden doorstops, keeping their natural character rather than making everything perfectly square and uniform.

Every single one would be different, with a choice of rope or metal handles depending on the finish.

Before we get Dan busy making them, we thought we'd ask...

Would anyone be interested in one of these for their home? 👀

🌳 WE DON'T CREATE THE GRAIN. MOTHER NATURE DOES. 🪵

No two pieces of timber are ever the same.

Different grains, colours, knots, cracks and natural imperfections. That's what gives real wood its character.

Some people see imperfections. We see possibilities.

From rustic shelving and bespoke furniture to one-of-a-kind statement pieces, there's beauty in every bit of timber.

And that's exactly why we love working with it.

WOW. JUST WOW. 🤎

These Iroko garage gates are finally fitted — and what a finish. 😍

Beautiful Iroko hardwood, black ironmongery and a finish that works ridiculously well against the slate and anthracite.

The transformation speaks for itself. Proper substantial hardwood gates, professionally fitted and finished off beautifully — these completely change the look of the space.

And just look at that grain. 👌

Want something a little bit special, drop us a message.

Old gate post was NOT coming quietly 😂

Yes… it’s strapped to the van. Needs must. 💪🪵
We’re currently replacing the farmer gates and gate posts across these horse paddocks, including removing the old rotten posts and installing new heavy-duty timber posts ready for the new gates.

Proper equestrian fencing and paddock gates, built to cope with horses, weather and everyday use. 🐴
