Running your own business often looks like you “work for yourself,” but the reality is that you’re constantly wearing every hat—replying to messages, answering calls, doing paperwork, ordering stock, bookkeeping, marketing, and actually doing the job too.

If a message ever gets missed or a reply is delayed, please know it’s never intentional. It’s simply because there’s only one person trying to juggle it all.

Self-employed people don’t clock off at 5pm. We’re often still catching up on messages long after the working day has ended.

Don’t often post about jobs. However this one was different. A pigeon stuck behind a fire. Little thing must’ve known we were there to help as didn’t struggle at all. Checked over and safely released. Met a lovely family in the process. Great night.

Today, we went to the installer show at the NEC in Birmingham. What an amazing day. Met some very interesting people including owners/directors of suppliers/merchants. Met the legendary darts referee Russ Bray too to top it off and had a nice chat with him.

Not often do we get to work on swimming pools as I don’t advertise that we can. Recommissioning after 3 years of no use and the pump is seized. Not ideal but everything can be fixed.

Another sink today. Neat installs are always good for us and customer.

Just some outdoor fitting today. Running pipe for an outside kitchen and fitting a stainless steel sink for a very nice customer in Rainhill.
