📢 Hardies Chartered Surveyors welcomes Storrier & Donaldson to our business

We are pleased to announce the acquisition of Storrier & Donaldson, the long‑established Glasgow Quantity Surveying practice founded more than 50 years ago.

Owner Robert Currie joins Hardies as Consultant Partner, with his team relocating to our Glasgow city centre offices shared with Hardies Chartered Surveyors and Shepherd Chartered Surveyors.

🎪 Supporting a Summer Celebration at The Yard 💙

Some of our Hardies Chartered Surveyors team recently had the pleasure of volunteering at The Yard’s circus-themed Summer Party, helping out with what was a fantastic day for children, young people and their families.

As a valued client of Hardies, we’ve been proud to support The Yard through our professional services, so it was particularly rewarding to step away from our usual role and get involved first-hand in the wonderful work they do.

The Yard provides a vital lifeline for disabled children and young people and their families across Scotland, helping children thrive through inclusive play while delivering high-quality wraparound support for parents and carers.

It was a pleasure for our team to play a small part in such a special day and to see the welcoming, inclusive environment The Yard creates.

💙 Supporting SAMH at the Dundee Kiltwalk

We are proud to share that Gary Ovenstone is the latest member of the Hardies team taking on a challenge in support of SAMH (Scottish Action for Mental Health).

On 16th August, Gary will be tackling the Dundee Kiltwalk, raising funds for a charity we’re committed to supporting across Hardies Chartered Surveyors and Shepherd Chartered Surveyors: SAMH.

SAMH works across Scotland to improve mental wellbeing, offering practical support, community services, and advocacy for people facing mental health challenges. Their work helps individuals feel heard, supported, and connected - and every donation helps them reach more people when they need it most.

We are delighted to back Gary Ovenstone as he takes on this challenge and continues our ongoing support for SAMH’s essential work.

Project Update: Newcraighall Development Progress

It is great to see the continued progress at the Cullross Newcraighall Development, with each block now advancing through different stages of the build.

A particularly exciting milestone has been the er****on of the steel frame for the stair core of the apartment block. As construction continues, it will be fascinating to see the relationship between the steel frame and the timber kit take shape, showcasing the integration of these two construction methods.

Hardies Chartered Surveyors are pleased to be acting as Development Monitor on behalf of Shawbrook, and it’s been a pleasure working alongside both Shawbrook and Cullross Living on this development. We are looking forward to seeing the next stages progress.

A message from Kevin Webster and Marion Mason after yesterday’s Dundee Half DRAM Half Marathon:

Yesterday, we proudly completed the Dundee Half DRAM Half Marathon - and we are delighted to share that, thanks to the incredible generosity and support of colleagues, clients, friends, and family, £1,740 has been raised for SAMH (Scottish Action for Mental Health).

Mental health is a cause very close to both of us, and we have been genuinely moved by the encouragement, kindness, and personal stories shared throughout this fundraising effort. The messages of support have sparked so many meaningful conversations, helping to raise awareness and understanding - which means just as much as the fundraising itself 💙

🌟 Project Progress Update: Enhancing the Visitor Experience at Taste Perthshire 🌟

Hardies Chartered Surveyors are pleased to share the latest progress at Taste Perthshire - a valued long standing client we are proud to continue supporting. Phase 2 of the development is advancing well, with the new retail extension now taking shape. This next stage will introduce an expanded foodhall, deli and ice cream parlour, creating a vibrant new space that enhances the visitor experience and strengthens the site’s offering.

Our team is providing Quantity Surveying and Contract Administration services, supporting the project through careful cost management, programme oversight and proactive contract administration to ensure clarity and confidence throughout delivery. Completion of this phase is targeted for October, and the transformation is already clearly visible on site.
