🏫 Live High School Refurbishment – Edinburgh

Our team is currently carrying out a specialist cladding package on behalf of The Roof Company Edinburgh, supporting the installation of a new felt roofing system with tapered insulation.

Our works include:

🔹 Carefully removing the existing rainscreen panels for reuse
🔹 Cutting back the Kingspan carrier panels
🔹 Altering drip flashings and top-hat sections
🔹 Creating clear access for the roofing team to install the new felt roof build-up
🔹 Installing new internal angles and interface details
🔹 Installing new fire-rated battens in accordance with the project specification
🔹 Reinstating the rainscreen system following completion of the roofing works

As this is a live high-school environment, all activities are being carefully planned and coordinated to maintain safe access, secure working areas and minimal disruption to pupils and staff.

A great example of different trades working together to get the interface details right. 👌

The AshZip sheets were securely zipped together to form a strong, durable and weathertight roof covering with clean lines and no exposed through-fixings.

A substantial education-sector project delivered safely and professionally, providing the school with a dependable, low-maintenance roofing system built for long-term performance.

🏠 East Craigs Project Completed

Another cracking transformation completed today by the team at 1st Roofing & Cladding Ltd.

The old, weathered timber panels above the windows were stripped out and replaced with new low-maintenance anthracite-grey cladding, complete with breathable membrane, trims and finishing details.

The new cladding ties in perfectly with the existing anthracite windows and gives the property a much cleaner, sharper and more modern appearance. A relatively small upgrade that has made a massive difference across the full house. 👌
