Our latest project: a shared courtyard for Tiphereth Camphill Community in south Edinburgh, now finished with the planting scheme now in, expertly designed by our friend Nick Burton …🪻
Tiphereth is a supported living house, where residents live alongside a family and share this space. The brief was to make the courtyard a useable extension of the house, somewhere to eat, relax and spend time together.
It now has a BBQ and dining area, a lawn, fruit trees, sleeper beds for growing veg, and a curved stone and timber seat around the firepit at its centre-piece.
Like many of our projects, the hardest part was the one nobody sees. The site sits on an old quarry, so a huge amount of stone had to come out before any surfacing could begin...
Give it a summer for the planting to come in and this will be an space the people living here use every day 🤝
