Charity Cycle / Walk Fundraiser for Smile Counselling

On Friday 31st July, the QB Wood Architects team is coming together to support Smile Counselling, a charity offering vital mental‑health support to young people aged 11–24.

We’ll be taking on either a 50‑mile cycle or a 10‑mile walk, exploring some of the best scenery around Queensferry, the canal and Dalmeny Estate. Afterwards, we’ll gather back at the office for food and a well‑earned rest. It’s a brilliant day out with great people, great scenery and a great cause.

We’re looking to hire an Architectural Technician!

QB Wood Architects is a practice based in South Queensferry with a wide range of experience in domestic, community / leisure, social housing and commercial projects. We are looking for an Architectural Technician with at least 5 years practical experience to join the small practice to assist with small to medium sized projects from design to completion.

Ideally, we are looking for someone who will fit well into our office environment and has the following skills or experience:

• To be motivated and enthusiastic.
• Experienced technical knowledge.
• Excellent computer skills in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Communication skills to work alongside the team.
• Attention to detail is a must.
• Ability to absorb information and adapt to the office drawing & Quality Assurance procedures.

The salary is competitive based on experience and ability and will be discussed with each candidate.
