A recent project in the west of Edinburgh, from sloping lawn to circular garden.

The brief was simple: something functional, inviting and traditional, with planting to soften it and materials that work together.

We levelled the slope with steps and retaining structures, used reclaimed brick for the raised beds and walls, and upright oak sleepers to hold the curve. Pleached trees along the boundary for privacy, grasses for movement, herbaceous planting for colour right through the season.

Designed and built entirely in house. Sitting down with the client and drawing it out ourselves means nothing gets lost in translation, the space works better because the people designing it are the people building it, and more of the budget goes into the garden itself.

Recent trip to the RHS Chelsea flower show in London for a bit of inspiration. Good to catch up with a local Edinburgh company and see all the other displays and show gardens

Bonaly front and back garden project: After an extension was added onto this property along with some intensive renovation work we where tasked with transforming the back garden form an overgrown neglected site into something much more usable for the family. The front garden and driveway area were to be simply much more appealing and functional. We carried out al aspects of the transformation from design through to construction and all of the soft landscaping elements.
