We are delighted that our Portobello restoration has been shortlisted for the 2026 EAA Awards.
A Category B listed Georgian villa, the project carefully reveals and reworks the layers of the existing building, allowing its history and character to remain legible while creating a contemporary family home. Daylight, material and connection to the garden became central to the transformation, with breathable finishes and carefully considered openings bringing light into the spaces.
The project was made possible through a wonderfully collaborative relationship with our clients, whose ambition and hands-on approach shaped so much of the finished home. This building has many stories from its construction, with many unexpected discoveries along the way, and the project became an opportunity to celebrate these layers and the existing character of the house, rather than conceal them. We are very grateful to everyone who helped bring it to life, and thrilled to see it recognised alongside such a brilliant group of shortlisted practices.
