Another successful roof transformation completed in Edinburgh, upgrading a failing cold roof system into a fully modern, high-performance warm roof.

We installed a premium three-layer bitumen felt system in Modi Bond Dark Charcoal, delivering a tough, weather-resistant finish built for long-term durability while enhancing the overall appearance of the property.

To improve performance and detailing, we also:

✔Rebuilt and increased timber up stands around the full perimeter

✔ Strengthened weather protection and roof integrity

✔ Upgraded key structural detailing for long-term reliability

As part of the wider external works, we removed all failed render and applied a fresh K Rend finish, carefully colour-matched to blend seamlessly with the existing building and preserve its character.

All scaffolding was fully installed before arrival on site, allowing the project to run smoothly, safely, and without delay from day one.

👀 We’ve been working on something big…

A historic tenement flat over 150 years old on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile, featuring a major re-slating project with Scotch slate and Spanish slate, plus the addition of new Velux windows.

22,000 Scotch slate tiles came off and 9,000 went back on, which were carefully dressed, sized, and re-slated using copper nails.

This has been a major project for the team, and we’ve been documenting the entire process from start to finish.

We can’t wait to share the final look!
