One of the common questions people have with additions is how the new work will sit alongside the original.

I always aim for a seamless blend between old and new, reusing original materials where possible and choosing new ones that will age naturally over time.

On this porch project, for example, we carefully reused the existing larch boards to keep the tones consistent. The new roof sheets are a little fresher right now, but they’ll weather in and soon sit comfortably alongside the originals.

Completed back in July, this Kitchen went through a fairly extensive renovation. The windows were resized so the sills blend with the worktops, external walls insulated and a fresh coat of plaster to blend together, before fitting the new units etc.

Before and after of a recently finished bathroom renovation/reconfiguration in Glendale.

The original was very cold and damp(among other issues) so was completely stripped back to blockwork, insulation added and new window etc in the process.

Studio build just finished in Glen Brittle. Very lucky to have had a great spell of weather for this!!
