Gumi's Diary 🦊📖

I climbed a mountain! ⛰️

Well... when I say I climbed it, Steve and Kammy may have slightly different memories of how I got to the top. But that's really not important. 😂

Today I made it all the way to the top of Sugar Loaf, and just LOOK at that view!

Obviously I had to get a picture at the top to prove I'd made it. I think this officially makes me an adventurer now. 🦊✨

Although I have discovered one very important thing about mountain climbing...

Going back down is much easier. 😂

It's time for another terrible joke... 😬

I ordered a chicken and an egg online...

I will let you know which one comes first. 🐔🥚

Some things are just made to fit together. 🐻💙

These little bear families are one of the many wooden creations we make here at Ackermando.

Each bear is its own individual piece, but put them together and they become something completely different — one little family.

And we think there's something rather lovely about that. 😊

Sometimes the simplest designs can say the most.

Adding a name to each one makes it more special and we will do that for you 😊

Hello everyone, we have found a lost wand. It's still full of magic and would love to go back home to it's owner. 💫

If you know who this belongs to message us with name that is on the other side 😊

🔎 WHERE IS GUMI? 🦊

Uh oh...

Gumi has wandered off again. 🤦‍♂️

She's hiding somewhere in this picture, but we're not telling you where!

Think you can find her? 👀

🔎 Have a good look...
🦊 Find Gumi...
🤫 And if you spot her, don't give her hiding place away!

Just comment "FOUND HER!" below when you've got her. 😁

Good luck!

🦆 MYTH BUSTER!

We've probably all done it...

You go to the park, see some ducks and reach for a slice of bread. 🍞

But did you know that **bread isn't actually a good food for ducks?**

It's not poisonous, but it doesn't give them much of the nutrition they need. If ducks fill up on too much bread, they may eat less of the natural, nutritious foods that keep them healthy.

So what can you take instead?

🌽 Sweetcorn
🫛 Peas
🌾 Oats
🌱 Bird seed

Next time you're off to feed the ducks, leave the loaf at home and give them something a little healthier instead. 💚

Did you already know this one?

Morning everyone! 🦊🍔

I got to help out at the burger van this morning!

I'm not entirely sure what my official job was... mostly I sat on the counter, looked adorable and made sure everything was running properly. Very important work. 😂

They make some REALLY nice burgers here, all made using Welsh beef 🐄🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 — although apparently "quality control" doesn't mean I'm allowed to eat all of them. I did ask.

If you're visiting us at St Fagans today, you know where to find lunch! 🍔

Right... back to work.

Time for a very important question... 🤔

You can have ONE of these for the rest of your life:

🐉 A tiny pet dragon that can sit on your shoulder

OR

🦖 A tiny pet dinosaur that follows you everywhere

Which are you choosing?

And before anyone asks...

No. You can't have both. 😂

Tell us your choice below! 👇

🦜✨ WE'VE HAD FOUR GOLDEN PARROT WINNERS! ✨🦜

We've been a little naughty and completely forgot to share some of our recent winners! 😂

Four lucky people have opened one of our Surprise Chests and discovered the Golden Parrot hiding inside — which means they've each won a special set of our wooden animals completely FREE! 🎉

Congratulations to all four of our winners! ❤️

But don't worry... the hunt isn't over.

There are always more Golden Parrots waiting to be found amongst our Surprise Chests. 👀🦜

Could the next one be hiding in yours?

Good luck, treasure hunters! 🏴‍☠️✨

WE'RE ALL SET UP! 🎉🦊
The tables are out, the products are ready, Gumi has taken her position and we're officially all set up at St Fagans! ❤️
We'll be here for the next two weeks, from 18th–31st August, with loads of our handmade wooden creations — from toys and decorations to some of the slightly stranger things that have escaped from our workshop. 😂
If you're visiting St Fagans over the next couple of weeks, make sure you come over, say hello and have a look around!
And if you spot Gumi hiding amongst everything, don't forget to say hello to her too. 🦊👋
We can't wait to see you!
