An 8 year old heating system nearly clogged completely with fine rust after an old oil fired cooker was reconnected to it.
This has caused the oil boiler and 3 radiators to rust internally and burst.
Powerflush cleaner has been added and only after it is cleaned thoroughly will the extent of the damage be fully seen.

Colds spots in your radiators and black water when you bleed your radiators are 2 signs that your heating system needs flushed. Systems running like this are very inefficient.

Customers Tip:

Order oil if you can afford it, price around as prices vary, if you you are going to order a large quantity please check for these few things:

Get a reliable person to check the seams of your oil tank for splitting, with age or direct sun light your tank can weaken and if you put a large fill into it then flaws and cracks may appear.

After getting a large fill you should also check any pipework or fittings from the tank supply to the boiler, the added weight and pressure could expose a problem, oil spills are very serious and can be costly with some insurance companies not standing over it.

Make sure you have a secure lock on your oil tank, there are reports of thieves following oil lorries who will attack an easy chance, make it harder for them and they'll think twice.

Hi everyone, I hope you are all enjoying the sunshine ☀️🌞, while also keeping as safe as you can in the current circumstances.
Just a small update to make you aware, that one of our Vans is on the road and currently available for any plumbing work, breakdowns or maintenance that you may require at the moment. This includes domestic plumbing and heating faults.
All we ask is that proper distancing procedures, and safe practices are used to keep our engineers and customers as safe as possible.
