…Loislee Newman is flying the flag high for girls in Construction 🥇 winning Cross Campus competitions at D&A Kingsway college.
Loislee is well thought of by her co workers but admits it was daunting at first being the only female both at college and in workshop.
She needn’t of worried , she’s a talented girl working on bespoke furniture for 5star luxury hotels .

If you are an employer thinking of taking on a joiner apprentice get in touch to discuss Citb funding . Joinery classes starting Aug& Sept.

Wise words 🤩

💜 | Susan's Story

My career journey hasn't been a straight line, and that's exactly why I believe there's .

After leaving Carnoustie High School in 1995, I studied Child Care at Angus College in Arbroath before working as a private nanny. From there, I explored a variety of roles in the hospitality and retail sectors, gaining valuable experience and transferable skills along the way.

My time in retail led to an exciting opportunity in training, where I travelled across Scotland delivering training to individuals and groups. During this time, I achieved my Assessor Qualification and discovered a real passion for helping people learn, develop, and reach their potential.

Today, I work within Angus Council's Skills & Employability Team as an Assessor and Internal Verifier in Business Administration, Management, and Customer Service. Looking back, every role I've had has contributed to the career I enjoy today.

No matter how different each role may have seemed at the time, every experience helped me build skills, confidence, and knowledge that I still use every day.

✨ My advice? Do a job that makes you happy, embrace new opportunities, and never be afraid to take a different route.
Every experience brings something valuable, and that's why I believe there is .

💜 Your journey is your own.💜 Success can take many forms.💜 There is .
