Funding For A Heat Pump

Home Energy Scotland (HES)
​While England uses the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, Scotland operates through Home Energy Scotland.

You can typically get a grant of £7,500 (or up to £9,000 if you live rural and not on the gas grid.
​
Unlike England, Scotland offers an interest-free loan of £7,500 for the remaining balance. This makes the "April start" vital—you want to secure your loan offer before the new financial year's budget is fully allocated by mid-summer.
​Rural Bonus: If you are in the Highlands or Islands, the extra £1,500 "uplift" is specifically designed to cover the higher transport and labor costs of northern installations.
