It’s been a busy few weeks for the team, completing another 4 roofs in Balloch & Tullichewan 👏

Roof 1 – Balloch�Stripped back to the rafters and resheeted with 11mm OSB. Installed new counter battens, tile battens, and a breathable membrane. Finished with new uPVC fascias & soffits, deepflow guttering to the front, and a brand-new Velux window to the rear. Tiled using grey Marley Major tiles with matching ridges, plus dry ridge & verge systems.

Roof 2 – Balloch�Another full strip back to rafters and resheet with 11mm OSB. New battens and breathable membrane installed. Dormer face and cheeks renewed with fresh white uPVC, along with new black deepflow guttering to the property. Completed with grey Marley Major tiles, matching ridges, and dry ridge & verge systems.

Roof 3 – Tullichewan�Stripped back to the original sarking boards, then installed new battens and breathable membrane. Chimney taken down below roof level and boarded over. New white deepflow guttering fitted. Finished with grey Marley Major tiles and full dry ridge & verge system.

Roof 4 – Tullichewan�Stripped back to sarking, replacing any rotten boards before installing new battens and breathable membrane. Added new white uPVC fascia boards with black deepflow guttering and downpipes. Completed using grey Marley Mendip tiles with matching ridges and dry ridge & verge systems.

Another 3 reroofs completed by the team over the past few weeks in Westcliff, Faifley, and Brucehill 👏

🔨 Roof 1 – Westcliff
Stripped back to the sarking board and fully upgraded with new counter battens, tile battens, and a breathable membrane. We also installed new white uPVC fascias and soffits, along with white deepflow guttering. Finished with a grey Marley Major tile, complete with dry verge and ridge systems.

🔨 Roof 2 – Faifley
Taken right back to the rafters, with the chimney safely dropped below roof level. Resheeted using 11mm OSB, then fitted with new battens and breathable membrane. Completed with white deepflow guttering and a brown Marley Mendip tile, including matching ridges and dry verge and ridge systems.

🔨 Roof 3 – Brucehill
Stripped to the sarking board and upgraded with new battens and breathable membrane. Finished with black deepflow guttering and a grey Marley Modern tile, complete with matching hips, ridges, and dry hip & ridge systems.

The team carried out a successful triple re-roof in Dumbarton last week, despite the challenging weather, and we’re delighted with the final result. 👏

We started by stripping the roof back to the original sarking boards, removing the old cast-iron skylight windows and boarding the openings with new sarking. From there, we installed new counter battens and tile battens along with a breathable roofing membrane, and fitted new Code 5 leadwork to the chimney.

Finally, the roof was fully loaded out and tiled using Old English Red Marley Modern roof tiles, complete with matching hips and ridges, finished with a dry hip and ridge system for durability and long-term performance.

It’s been a bit of a stop-start few weeks for the team due to the weather, but we’re pleased to have two more reroof projects completed.

Project 1 – Helensburgh
We recently completed a large reroof project in Helensburgh and were delighted with the finished result. The roof was stripped back to the original sarking boards before installing new counter battens, tile battens and a breathable membrane.
The old lead valleys were removed and replaced with new Code 5 lead valleys. Once prepared, the roof was loaded out and tiled using grey Marley Modern roof tiles, complete with matching hips and ridges and finished with dry hip, ridge and verge systems for a clean, durable finish.

Project 2 – Garelochhead
Our next project took us to Garelochhead for a full roof renewal. This roof was stripped right back to the rafters before installing new 11mm OSB boards. We then fitted new counter battens, tile battens and a breathable membrane.
We also replaced the fascias and soffits with new white uPVC, along with black deepflow guttering. The roof was then tiled using grey Marley Double Roman roof tiles with matching ridges and finished with dry ridge and verge systems.

Our books are starting to fill up fast for the rest of the year.

What we did:

🏠 New Year, New Roofs!✅

It’s been a busy start to the year for the CJH Roofing team, completing two full re-roofs in Oxhill — and we’re proud of the results.

Both properties were stripped back to the rafters and re-sheeted with 11mm OSB, before installing:
✔️ New breathable roof membrane
✔️ New counter battens & tile battens
✔️ New GRP valley system

We also fitted:
🔹 Brand new uPVC fascias & soffits (white to one property, rosewood brown to the other)
🔹 Deepflow guttering for improved drainage

To finish, the roofs were loaded and tiled using Brown Marley Mendip tiles, complete with:
✔️ Matching ridge tiles
✔️ Dry ridge system
✔️ Dry verge system

Another brilliant project wrapped up by our team this week — and we couldn’t be happier with the results.

We began by stripping the roof right back to the rafters and resheeting using 11mm OSB. From there, we installed all-new counter and tile battens paired with a breathable membrane for long-lasting protection.

Next, we fitted new white uPVC fascias and soffits, along with black deepflow guttering, giving the property a clean and modern finish. The roof was then tiled using grey Marley Major tiles with matching ridge tiles, completed with dry ridge and verge systems for maximum durability.
