We are deeply saddened to share the passing of our former colleague and friend, Mr Jim Ford — better known to many as “Gentleman Jim”.

Jim was a well-known and respected part of the team for many years, and he will be fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

As requested by his son, Jim will make his final journey tomorrow, leaving Dover at 10:20am and arriving at the depot at approximately 10:30am for a final stop before continuing on to Barham.

We know many friends and former colleagues may wish to pay their respects along the route or at the depot.

Our thoughts are with Jim’s family and loved ones at this difficult time.

Rest peacefully, Gentleman Jim. 💙

A nice end to the week Chunnel group have had Trimbel GPS fitted on a brand new 936F with new geith rock grab attachment. great work from Sitech and everyone been involved on working on this machine just a few final jobs left early next week then be ready for its first contract.

This Thursday, the 14th of May, we will be selling Cupcakes, Bacon Rolls and Hot Drinks at our yard in Lydden. This event is in aid of “Wear It Green Day” and all proceeds will go to the Mental Health Foundation. Cupcakes will be freshly made by local baker Cupcake Heaven and ideally need to be pre-ordered by calling 01304 825526 or emailing [email protected]. We look forward to seeing you then 😁
