Last week I have the task of redoing this composite deck that had failed due to rotten joists, lack of supports and noggins, with heavily weathered railings. At the customer’s request, the deck size was reduced from 6.2 metres to 5 metres. The existing structure was removed and replaced with new timber decking, new timber joists, correctly installed noggins, and additional structural supports. The railings were cut to suit the new layout, thoroughly cleaned, and repainted, resulting in a safe, solid, and refreshed decking area.

The images shows a composite deck that had failed due to rotten joists, lack of supports and noggins, with heavily weathered railings.
