Today’s customer wanted a compost area made, using materials already in her garden.
No problem! Also cleared a pathway for her to easily access it.

Tad easier working in this weather, just need some productive rain now to really help all my customers gardens. Especially needed where hose pipe bans have come in. Although did you know if you have crops planted you can still use a hose to water them? So if your water butt has run dry dont panic. I’m a huge fan of home grown and teaching children how to provide for themselves. So why not use part of your garden to try growing some veg?

Today’s jobs are opposite ends of the scale. Continuing a clearance ready to start fresh and general maintenance in another garden I designed years ago from overgrown jungle to functional family space.

Another day finished clearing this customers garden. It’s now beginning to look like a useable garden for the family. Open space, beds ready for planting and access to the greenhouse and cold frames.
As many original shrubs have been kept as possible, when they’re so well established it would be a shame to start completely from scratched. Before this garden got too much for the owner it was much loved, now she can begin enjoying her space again.

This area started completely over grown, just a tangled mess of various invasive plants. It’s amazing what you find as you begin uncovering forgotten features.
Every removal down to the roots to help prevent re-growth, I much prefer getting my hands into the soil where possible to feel my way.

So apparently I need to actually post on here so people can see what I do. Sorry I’m not very active on social media so you’ll have to forgive my non professional posts as I try to do this!

Sometimes on a job I get inspiration for my own garden. My partner loves vibrant colours and her garden is already a talking point of neighbours as they pass. Even a colony of honey bees have taken up residence this year to enjoy the spoils.

While clearing a customers garden today, where I aim to preserve as much as possible from established plants, I snapped this for a reminder (unless they want a full clearance of course). This stunning evening primrose is definitely next on the list at home.
