Regular inspections of attics is always a good idea, for most people it's out of sight out of mind.
Sadly for this home owner, over the last winter he owned a illicit air b and b for a squirrel family! This is just a fraction of the damage and repairs will be underway shortly.

From the files of a series of unfortunate events. A recent inspection of a property revealed a few problems, metal face plates with no earth available, rubber cable perished and disintegrating. Thankfully the decision was made to rewire.
