🚨 ANOTHER JOB, ANOTHER ELECTRICAL SAFETY WAKE-UP CALL! ⚡🔌
We recently attended a property where the socket circuit had tripped and the power was down.
We were told the property had already had an EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report) completed by a well-known company in Crewe. However, during our inspection and fault-finding to get the sockets back up and running, we uncovered several issues that raised serious safety concerns. 😳
❌ Loose cables with no containment hanging freely in a child's bedroom.
❌ Cracked and damaged sockets.
❌ Sockets with plugs stuck inside and signs of burning. 🔥
❌ And to top it all off… a 6mm² main earthing conductor! 😂🤦♂️
These are the sort of things that make you ask questions when an EICR has reportedly already been completed.
An EICR isn't just a bit of paperwork — it's about identifying risks, protecting people and making sure an electrical installation is safe.
✅ We carried out the necessary remedial work.
✅ The landlord was happy with the work completed.
✅ The faults were rectified, and the socket circuit was back up and running.
Most importantly, the electrical safety concerns we identified were addressed. ⚡
