Fantastic steam wood bending morning workshop at LayerTree yesterday. We learned how to bend wood by making a hanging planter. Can thoroughly recommend it.

Well that's all the profit I've not made yet gone down the swanny! Accidently left the workshop fan heater on since Sunday!

Good day in the shop, got the trunk stripped of fixings, tidied and prepped for finish and the corner trims treated with rust stop and enamelled. To give the bar strength I'm going to line it with ply covered in wallpaper a d the first two panels are covered.

I would like to say thanks to all those people who liked and followed this new venture. Last year I spent a lot of time building a workshop to give me space to build and upcycle. This year it's time to test the water to see if this might actually work and give me a way out of a life of science which I'm pretty bored with!

The idea is to devote one full day of my weekend to making, properly logging time etc to see if this is possible.

Everything I read and watch though says you need your "socials" to be successful. So if you like what you see then please share far and wide so I can reach as many people as possible.
