This is my latest painting. 36” x 28 “ so , bigger than my usual size. Based on the Irish legend, The Children of Lir. Here we see the four children of king Lir , Fionnuala, Aodh, Fiachra, and Conn after they have transformed into swans , destined to spend 300 years on the sea of Moyle .

I attended a still life workshop run by the artist Julian Friers at the weekend and facilitated by Yarn , a creative hub in Ballycastle ( an amazing place ) . It was very enjoyable, challenging and informative . Thankyou Julian for such a great experience . So good to have a place like Yarn on my doorstep. I have donated a painting to this fundraiser organised by Benny Okane of Cadhlro HAIR, (see cover photo above and below post ), in memory of his sister Sorcha whose first anniversary occurs on February 2nd. The painting is one of the many prizes in a ballot to be held on Saturday February 1st in Benny’s hair salon in Ballycastle ( great hairdresser by the way ) 🤗!
