Final coat now on

Hague Blue in Scuff-X, sprayed using the .professionals SF 23 (AKA the beast) with heated hose, allowing us to work at lower pressure for a beautifully smooth, flawless finish.

De-mask and full reveal later today.

Very happy with how this one is shaping up. A proper team effort from start to finish 🤙

Watermoor Project Update

Plenty happening on this one now.

We’re working our way through the property, getting the prep right, refining the colour choices and starting to bring each space together.

The staircase and landings are now the main focus, with plenty of detail work involved to get the finish where we want it. Alongside that, we’ve got some great features throughout the house, including the stained glass, panelling and wallpaper that really give the property its character.

Still a fair bit to do, but it’s starting to take shape.

More updates to follow as we push towards the finish. 👌

JOB UPDATE WALK-THROUGH

Not every post needs to be the finished reveal. Here’s a quick walk-through of one of our current projects, showing where we’re up to and how the job is progressing.

Plenty has already been completed, with the rooms starting to come together nicely. There’s still a fair bit to work through, but it’s great seeing the transformation take shape as we move through the property.

Next phase: the staircase.
A lot of prep involved there before we start getting the finishes on, so I’ll show more of the process as we go.

More updates to follow 👌

What a beauty

What a beauty 👌

This panelling and cabinetry was built by Tony Hollick Fitted Furniture and we were then asked by an existing client to come in and give it the Cotswold Painters treatment.

The reception room joinery was sprayed for a flawless finish, with the walls, ceilings and doors all decorated to bring the whole space together. We also took care of the WC, including the decorating and wallpapering.

Really happy with how this one turned out. The finish across the whole project is spot on.

Ben sprayed the reception room joinery.
Mario and Darek took care of the ceilings, doors and WC.
And I got stuck into the wallpapering in the WC.

Another proper team effort and a lovely project to be part of.

PROJECT COMPLETE ✅

2 bedrooms, kitchen, hallway, stairs and landings across 3 floors, all completed while the clients were away on holiday.

This one was a proper team effort from start to finish.

As always, it wasn’t completely straightforward. Once we started rolling, sections of the existing paint began peeling away from the walls, most likely down to poor mist coating, or possibly no mist coat at all.

So what should have been straightforward decorating quickly turned into extra prep, stabilising problem areas and making sure everything was properly sorted before the finishing coats went anywhere near the walls.

The team absolutely smashed it and got the whole house pulled together ready for the clients coming home.

And yes… we completely forgot the before photos 🤦‍♂️

You’ll just have to trust us when we say the transformation was a big one.

Such a lovely home to work on and another project we’re really proud to put our name to.

On to the next one 👊

All completed using Caparol UK paints supplied by Decorating & building supplies
