โจ ๐๐๐ซ๐๐๐ง ๐ซ๐-๐๐จ! โจ this oneโs a long oneโฆ.
Our lovely customer saw our sign across the road at her neighbours house and got in touch, sheโd had her garden โlandscapedโ a couple of years earlier, but it looked like it was done 20 years earlier ๐ฌโฆ..
The end result after weโd been in is beautiful as always, everything correctly done with care and attention by our team. The family can finally use their safe and lovely garden. (The turf looks like artificial grass but I promise itโs not, we never use artificial, the grass is just that green ๐)
Iโve also included the horror story photoโs from before.
Initially it looked bad enough, a wobbly uneven patio with crazy inconsistent spacing and incorrect tiles next to each other, full of weeds, wonky ill fitted sleepers and a fence at the back which didnโt look great.
But once we got on the job the more we took out, the more we uncovered.
The previous tradesman had:
* nailed fence panels to an existing rotten fence, instead of installing a complete new one like the customer had paid for.
* He had used SILICON, (as in what you put around your bath!!) to lay patio slabs ๐ฑ, we noticed heโd only done a concrete bed under a small part of the patio tooโฆ. strangeโฆ.
* However, the worst thing we uncovered, he had smashed a huge hole in one of the water pipes underground that the guttering ran to whilst attempting to remove the original concrete path. Instead of rectifying it, it was filled with more concrete creating a sloped patio above the damp course. The customer has had waste water sat up against their house underground with nowhere to go. The last photo is the water we pumped out.
We understand itโs really hard to trust tradespeople and this is the reason why. Not only was the garden unsafe, the water sat against the house couldโve caused huge costly damage to the home itself. Itโs heartbreaking knowing people hand over such a lot of money in good faith, just to be left with something that needs ripping out and starting again.
Weโre glad we could put this garden right, we just wish the lovely family werenโt put in this position in the first place.
