🚿 BATHROOM REFRESH 🔧

Another bathroom refresh completed by Gav’s Plumbing! 👌

This bathroom was given a much-needed refresh, with new screen seals fitted to help prevent water escaping around the shower screen, along with a new bath waste and basin tap and waste.

The bath was also fully resealed, helping to prevent water getting behind the bath and causing damage, and damaged tiles were replaced to finish everything off.

A great example of how replacing worn seals, fittings and damaged areas can give a bathroom a fresh new look while helping to keep everything watertight. 💧✨

A busy week keeping our customers’ plumbing running smoothly! 🔧💧

A selection of maintenance jobs recently completed:

✅ New tap cartridge fitted to stop leaks and restore smooth operation
✅ Faulty toilet fill valve replaced, getting the cistern filling correctly again
✅ Kitchen sink and tap replaced, giving the kitchen a fresh new look and reliable performance
✅ Basin trap replaced to cure a leak and ensure proper drainage
✅ Toilet syphon swapped, restoring a strong, reliable flush

💧 DON’T IGNORE THE SMALL SIGNS! 🔧

It’s easy to put off those little plumbing problems because they don’t seem urgent… but small issues can sometimes be an early warning sign of something bigger.

🚰 A dripping tap
That constant drip might seem harmless, but over time it can waste a surprising amount of water and may indicate worn-out components that need replacing.

💦 A small leak
A few drops under the sink or around a pipe might not look serious, but even a small leak can cause damage if left unnoticed — particularly inside cupboards or behind units.

🚽 A toilet that keeps running
If your toilet continues to run after flushing, there could be an issue with the internal mechanism. It’s worth getting it checked rather than allowing water to continuously go to waste.

🛁 Slow-draining sinks or baths

Bathroom transformation completed! 🔧🛁

This one involved much more than just replacing the bath. We completely stripped out the old bath, tiles and flooring to uncover and put right the underlying issues.

One of the main problems was the seal on the existing bath and bath panel, which was allowing water to pool and had caused damage over time. We brought the wall out to create a flush finish, preventing water from collecting in the future.

✅ All rotten flooring and damaged walls removed
✅ New stud wall built and boarded with moisture-resistant boards
✅ Entire wet area primed with SBR and fully sealed for added protection
✅ Brand new bath, Aquaboards and fixtures installed

By taking the time to do the job properly from the ground up, we’ve left the customer with a bathroom that’s built to last and protected against future water damage.

🔧 Another job completed!

This cellar has been fully repiped in copper, with all pipework neatly installed, securely clipped, and professionally insulated to help protect it from freezing during the colder months.

Insulating exposed pipework is an important step in preventing frozen pipes, which can lead to burst pipes, costly water damage, and unexpected plumbing emergencies. It’s a simple upgrade that can save a lot of hassle in winter.

We also installed a new toilet, completing the job with a reliable and practical finish.

It’s been another busy few days! 🔧💧

We’ve completed a range of maintenance jobs, including:

✅ Replaced a broken waste pipe that had been temporarily taped up with a brand-new solvent weld waste pipe, fully tested and working perfectly.
✅ Swapped out a faulty electric shower for a new one.
✅ Replaced a failed toilet syphon and thoroughly tested everything.
✅ Replaced a leaking washing machine isolation valve.

The best part? All materials were stocked on the van, meaning every job was completed in just one visit with no waiting around for parts.
