When it comes to EV charging, too many decisions are still being made on surface-level criteria, volume, price, convenience and speed.
But here’s the truth:
If subcontracting sits anywhere in your partner’s supply chain, that’s an amber flag.
It means you need to dig deeper:
> Who are the actual installation partners?
> What percentage of work is subbed out?
> What does the compliance and auditing framework really look like?
> How are installers trained, assessed, and kept up to standard?
> Who takes accountability when something goes wrong?
Because quality and compliance are not optional, they are pass/fail, black or white.
Get them wrong, and it costs you customers, credibility, and eventually contracts.
The right EV charging partner is not the one who shouts the loudest or promises the fastest rollout.
It’s the one who can evidence compliance, prove quality, and stand behind every install with confidence.
So next time you’re choosing a partner, ask yourself:
> Do I want convenience, or do I want certainty?
> Am I gambling with brand risk, or building brand trust?
Because in this game, the stakes are too high for shortcuts.
