When it comes to EV charging, too many decisions are still being made on surface-level criteria, volume, price, convenience and speed.

But here’s the truth:
If subcontracting sits anywhere in your partner’s supply chain, that’s an amber flag.

It means you need to dig deeper:
> Who are the actual installation partners?
> What percentage of work is subbed out?
> What does the compliance and auditing framework really look like?
> How are installers trained, assessed, and kept up to standard?
> Who takes accountability when something goes wrong?

Because quality and compliance are not optional, they are pass/fail, black or white.

Get them wrong, and it costs you customers, credibility, and eventually contracts.

The right EV charging partner is not the one who shouts the loudest or promises the fastest rollout.

It’s the one who can evidence compliance, prove quality, and stand behind every install with confidence.

So next time you’re choosing a partner, ask yourself:
> Do I want convenience, or do I want certainty?
> Am I gambling with brand risk, or building brand trust?

Because in this game, the stakes are too high for shortcuts.

🌟 Skydive Countdown: 5 Days to Go! 🌟

Hey everyone, it's me again!

As we're just 5 days away from the big jump, I spent the weekend finalising the last details. Time is ticking down, and excitement (fear and loathing towards my life choices) is definitely building.

I've been touched by the support from friends and colleagues, though their jokes have done a cracking job of keeping my nerves on edge! 😅

From being told to "aim for the trees to break your fall if the parachute doesn't open," to the ever-so-comforting, "You do have a Will, don’t you?"—it's safe to say everyone's really helping to keep the mood light (and my fear of heights well fueled)!

All jokes aside, I'm doing this for a cause we all believe in deeply—supporting the wonderful kids and families at Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice

If you haven’t yet and want to help make a difference, please consider donating. Every little bit helps more than you can imagine.

You can sponsor my leap from 15,000 feet here: Sponsor Mark’s Skydive: https://bluebellwoodchildrenshospice.enthuse.com/pf/mark-pymm

Let’s keep the momentum going and make this jump one for the books!

Thanks for all your support, it means the world. 🪂💙

Hello everyone! I'm Mark Pymm, the Founder and Managing Director of ChargedEV, and I'm taking a leap out of my comfort zone, quite literally, for a cause that's close to my heart. On the 29th of June,

Hey everyone, Me again!!!

As the date for the dreaded Skydive approaches, I wanted to remind everyone why I am doing this, and why every donation matters so much.

The staff at Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice go above and beyond every day, providing care that is nothing short of miraculous. It’s their dedication and the resilience of these families that have truly inspired me to step far outside my comfort zone.

I have heard some truly devastating but inspiring stories since I started my journey to support Bluebell Wood's and this has pushed me from my initial 10k run, to doing something that I thought I could never do.

At heart I am a true scaredy cat, I hate heights, rollercoasters and pretty much anything where my feet leave the ground or I have no control (that is the control freak within me).

Embracing the idea of saying "Yes" has already led me to run a 10k, commit to this skydive, and even sign up for a half marathon in October. This philosophy isn't just about seeking thrills; it's about challenging ourselves to do more for others, to step up when it matters.

So, let's say "Yes" together—yes to helping, yes to caring, and yes to making a difference where it counts. Thanks for all your support, and stay tuned for more updates as we continue this journey together.

🪂 Help Us Reach Our Goal: We’re still working towards our fundraising target, and every bit helps. If you feel moved by these stories, please consider contributing.

With just 60 days until I jump out of a plane for Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice, I wanted to take a moment to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has supported us so far. Your generosity is truly making a difference. 🙏

As the day approaches and an air of regret starts to kick in, I'm reminded of why I'm doing this. Every donation helps provide essential care to children and families facing unimaginable challenges.

If you haven't had a chance yet and are able to help, we still need your support to reach our goal. 🪂💙

Please consider making a donation, no matter the size—it all counts. You can sponsor me here: https://bluebellwoodchildrenshospice.enthuse.com/pf/mark-pymm

Together, let's make a big impact for these incredible kids. Thanks for being part of our journey!

So... I think I have let my heart get ahead of my head!

In one of ChargedEV's Charity meetings at the end of last year discussing our goals for 2024, we had a session throwing ideas around the table about what we could do to up the ante.... and big old scaredy pants here somehow managed to volunteer myself for something way, way out of my comfort zone.

Despite my feet firmly preferring solid ground (seriously, I’m the guy who’d rather climb down a 30ft kids climbing wall than trust a safety pully!), I’m taking a giant leap - quite literally - for Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice 👧👦

🪂 This coming Saturday, June 29th, I’ll be skydiving from a jaw-dropping 15,000ft at Hibaldstow Airfield. Yes, you read that right. For someone who can barely stand the thought of rollercoasters or even climbing scaffolding at our solar projects, this is HUGE.

💓 My heart is pounding just thinking about it while typing this.

Why am I doing this? It’s all for the incredible kids and families at Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice. These folks do amazing work, giving care and comfort when it's most needed. They deserve every bit of support we can give.

This jump, as scary as it is for me, is my way of stepping up for those who face challenges every single day.

👉 I’m asking for your help. Whether you can join me at the airfield for support, or sponsor my jump, every little bit helps. You can sponsor me here;

🛩️This jump is a commitment, a way to give back to a community that does so much for us all. Let’s show these families they’re not alone.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for any support you can give. It means more than you know.

See you in the skies ☁️ ☀

🌟 Celebrating a Decade of Drive and Passion – Introducing 'WattsUp with Mark' 🌟

Today marks a significant milestone for me – it's been 10 years to the day since I took the leap into the world of Electric Vehicles and decided to start a business. What a journey it's been!

As I reflect on a decade of growth, challenges, and achievements, I’m also thrilled to know that I’ve been nominated in the Special Recognition category at the upcoming EVIE's Awards, in what seems to be perfect timing. Being recognized alongside such incredible pioneers in the EV industry is not just an honour; it's a testament to the collective drive and commitment we all share in advancing sustainable energy solutions.

But this anniversary is more than a moment of reflection. It's also a time to look forward. That's why I'm excited to announce the launch of a personal blog, "WattsUp with Mark." This channel is my platform to share the ups and downs, the insights, and the lessons learned from a decade in this dynamic industry.

As I gear up for the EVIE's next week and reflect on the past decade, I'm reminded of the power of sharing our journeys. My aim with "WattsUp with Mark" is not just to recount my experiences but to ignite that same passion and determination in others. Whether you're a budding entrepreneur, an EV enthusiast, or just curious about the decarbonisation of transport and homes, I invite you to join me on this next chapter.

I have been asked over the years about my journey, but I have always been reluctant to be so open and vulnerable about my own trials and tribulations. Fearful of what others may think and how the industry may perceive me, I have always shied away from. But now I am ready.

A Road Less Travelled: My Journey from Laybys to Leader, My first blog, unveiling my candid story for the first time and detailing my journey from personal struggles to becoming a pioneer in the electric vehicle industry.

Here's to another decade of innovation, learning, and making a difference. Let's drive the future, together. 💡🚗

Unveiling my candid story for the first time and detailing my journey from personal struggles to becoming a pioneer in the electric vehicle industry. This story is a testament to the belief that with grit and perseverance, anyone can navigate the road to success, no matter how improbable it may seem...
