⚡ Manufacturing Facility Fit-Out | Phase 2 Progress

A site visit today to check on progress with Phase 2 of our ongoing manufacturing facility fit-out.

Our engineers are making excellent progress, with multiple distribution & panel boards installed across separate locations throughout the facility, and the submain cabling now terminated.

The project involves extensive LV distribution infrastructure, including large cable containment systems and submain cable installations to serve the various areas of the manufacturing facility.

Good to see everything coming together as we continue progressing through the next stages of the project.

ATEX Lighting Upgrade Ammonia Plant Room ⚡

Great progress from our hazardous-area team on this ongoing ATEX lighting upgrade within an ammonia refrigeration plant room.

The installation is now moving into its final stages, with the new hazardous-area lighting, cabling, glands, bonding and associated electrical works taking shape.

Projects like this are all about the detail ensuring equipment is correctly installed and the complete installation is suitable for the hazardous environment.

We’re now working towards final inspection, testing and handover at the end of next week.

Our first time exhibiting and our first ever exhibition stand for Ben Wood Group

A massive thank you to everyone who took the time to visit us over the last two days. We’ve had some great conversations, made some really good connections and enjoyed the experience.

A little outside my comfort zone by speaking in the Innovation Centre but I’m really glad we did it!

It’s been a fantastic couple of days for the business and something we’re really proud to have been part of.

Thanks again to everyone who came to see us, and we look forward to building on the connections we’ve made!

⚡ ATEX Electrical Installation Ammonia Refrigeration Plant Room

Another specialist hazardous area electrical installation carried out last week.

Working within a Zone 2 classified ammonia refrigeration plant room, our CompEx qualified engineers have been undertaking an upgrade to the electrical lighting infrastructure.

The works include,

🔹 Installation of Ex-rated LED lighting suitable for the hazardous area classification

🔹 New galvanised steel containment and cable routes

🔹 Hazardous area cable glands and associated accessories

🔹 Protective bonding and earthing arrangements

Working within operational ammonia refrigeration facilities requires careful planning, attention to detail and an understanding of hazardous area requirements.

It’s not just about selecting Ex-rated equipment how that equipment is installed is equally important.

⚡ Over 1.5km of LV Power Cabling Installed in Just 3 Days!

Another major milestone achieved on our factory fit out

Our specialist cable installation team has completed the installation of 1,540 metres of heavy-duty LV SWA cabling, ranging from 95mm to 240mm

The installation will supply five distribution panel boards and three production busbar systems, forming a key part of the site’s new electrical infrastructure.

With cable pulling complete, our engineers will now progress with glanding, terminations, testing and commissioning.

A great team effort and another significant step forward on this major industrial electrical installation.

Large-Scale Print & Packaging Manufacturing Facility ⚡️

Photos don’t quite do the scale of this project justice, so here’s a better look at what our team has been working on.

Phase 2 of this major factory fit-out is well underway, with new LV distribution, containment and electrical infrastructure taking shape throughout the facility.

Mains cabling is next, with the lighting installation also nearing completion.

A substantial project for our industrial team and plenty more content to come as the project progresses. 👀
