Foundations and slab poured on Friday, gone off over the weekend ready for the build to commence today 🧱

Full kitchen/utility/dining room renovation here in Walton, chesterfield.

We started by fully stripping out, propping and shoring the above masonry/timber joists and removing 2 load bearing internal walls and 1 load bearing pilar.

3 x steel beams with bolted connections fitted in total with the exposed masonry/timber joists packed up and secured to ensure no movement is possible.

We renewed all the existing pipework for the sinks and appliances and relocated and supplied a new tall radiator in anthracite. We also fitted a plinth heater to save wall space.

Downlights fitted throughout, New locations for all sockets and switches all finished in a brushed nickel. LED corner larder and under cupboard lighting was also a must with this kitchen.

The beams were fireline boarded to meet current fire regulations the whole job boarded and skimmed throughout leaving a nice new flat finish.

High end kitchen and utility as always supplied by our friends at Chatsworth interiors.
A Mornington beaded taupe colour which coordinated really well with the brushed nickel handles and the Sahara waves quartz worktops. Instead of plinths this kitchen came with its own skirting system which flows through seamlessly with the wall skirtings.
Neff appliances and a 3in1 instant hot water tap are always the bits you can’t see on pictures but always worth a mention.

To finish off we supplied and fitted an oak effect Lvt flooring throughout the downstairs that was offset by the decorating by ourselves.

Another good job by the lads and another great review from the client.

Large front bedroom divided in two to make a small visitors room.

Complete new window opening and sash window with matching stone sil and head to stay in keeping with the 1865 Victorian style villa.

New stylish but sleek front composite door with numbered glass panel above supplied and fitted.

2 x radiators supplied by the client piped up and fitted by us.

All internals finished with matching Victorian doors/Ironmongery/skirtings/Architraves and trims.

We turned an unused external garage in to an office/gym and shower room.

We removed the garage door and fitted a small window on the front moving the entrance to the side optimising space and layout.

As per most garage conversions new fully insulated timber floor and walls constructed along with a fully insulated partition wall to separate the two rooms.

Fully insulated warm roof spec with an epdm (rubber) roof finish including facias and guttering.

If you’re wondering where the shower screen is we designed the shower with a small upstand to clean the dogs down after them long muddy walks.

Wifi radiators were also fitted to warm the place up before getting back off them winter walks.

As always great job from the lads and another gleaming review to the collection.
