The team at JPS is proud to share the news that we have been chosen as ’s Northern Design Partner of the Year 2026!

Since starting the business 10 years ago, we’ve delivered Civil, Structural and temporary works designs across a huge range of Willmott Dixon projects, providing safe, efficient and innovative design support from bid stage right through to handover. We like to think we’ve built a reputation as the engineers that are happy to tackle the awkward bits that many other engineers tend to shy away from!

This award is a testament to the strength of our partnership with Willmott Dixon, built on mutual respect, trust, and a shared commitment to delivering high‑quality, collaborative design.

Jon and Mike are looking forward to heading down to London next week for the National Awards Event, which is sure to be a day to remember.

JPS is proud to be supporting Isla Devine again this year as she travels to Holland tomorrow to compete in the 2026 VV Trinitas International Tournament.
JPS has sponsored the Hawarden Park Girls and Ladies FC U14s team since the club began 2 years ago, and we’re delighted to see the team go from strength to strength, coming runners up in the league and cup this year.

Good luck to Isla and the team in Holland - we hope you all have a fantastic experience.

Student Accomodation Block, Coleg Cambria

On the site of a former derelict teaching block, the new structure is formed in steel composite frame with a suspended ground floor to suit the sloping site topology. The building will provide modern living accommodation for learners and is the latest addition to the Llysfasi site campus development. JPS provided full structural and civil engineering design for the scheme which also incorporated site wide drainage and infrastructure upgrades, led by our civils team.

Hwb Arloesi Llysfasi Innovation Hub, Coleg Cambria

Take a fly-through of the award-winning Innovation Hub at Coleg Cambria’s Llysfasi campus.

This £10m facility brings together a wide range of spaces, including classrooms, laboratories and a library, alongside meeting areas, a coffee shop, climbing wall and wellbeing hub. Designed to support collaboration, the hub enables industry partners in engineering, forestry and countryside management to showcase the latest technologies and innovations.

Recognised for its excellence, the state-of-the-art building was named Best Public or Community Building at the 2026 LABC Building Excellence Awards.

JPS provided full structural and civil engineering design for the two-storey, carbon-neutral development, designed by TACP Architects Ltd and delivered by Read Construction.

Building on this successful partnership, the same team is now on site delivering our latest project for the college - a new 50-bedroom student accommodation block.

We are delighted to see the newly refurbished leisure centre at Northgate Arena, Chester open to the public following a multi-million pound transformation.

JPS provided civil, structural and temporary works input, including structural alterations to changing areas and viewing platforms, structural repairs and strengthening works to the existing building structure and drainage upgrades.
