🏏💧 Funding available for cricket clubs!🏏💧
If your cricket club is looking at improving its irrigation, installing rainwater harvesting or making better use of the water available around the ground, the ECB Tackling Climate Change Fund could be a great opportunity.
The fund offers affiliated cricket clubs grants between £1,000 and £15,000 to help with projects focused on areas such as drought resilience, rainwater harvesting and water management.
📅 The current deadline is 30 November 2026,or earlier if the available funding is allocated, so it’s worth getting started sooner rather than later.
At AJ Irrigation we’re a family-run business with experience in commercial and specialist irrigation projects. We can help with everything from assessing your current setup and designing the system through to installation and commissioning.
Our work includes:
💦 Automatic cricket square irrigation
🌧️ Rainwater harvesting systems
🚰 Water storage and pumping systems
💧 Borehole-fed irrigation
⚙️ Pumps and filtration
📱 Automatic irrigation controllers
🔧 Upgrading existing irrigation systems
🌱 Bespoke water management solutions
For example, we can design a system that collects rainwater from your clubhouse or other buildings, stores it in a tank and then uses it to irrigate the cricket square when required. This can help reduce reliance on mains water and provide a more reliable supply during dry periods.
We can visit your club, look at your existing water supply and irrigation system, and discuss what you’re looking to achieve. We can then put together a bespoke design and quotation to help support your funding application.
If your club has been thinking about upgrading its irrigation or making better use of rainwater, now is a good time to start looking at your options.
