Hidrofugo is a game changer in the carpentry and cabinetry world 🌏⭐️

Jason is mid-project at the moment, building a custom storage/desk unit with a pull out counter top…

In order to make the pull out section flush, he’s created angles for the parts to slot into.

All pieces have been cut using the CNC that can be seen in our previous videos 🙌🏼✨

Jason draws out the project in CAD, put the measurements into Opticut and exports the file to input into the CNC, which accurately cuts to size!

When joining hardwood timber for any door or window framing, we typically use a scribe - this one is like a small lambs tongue! ⭐️

This provides a stronger joint, greater tolerance for exterior conditions and helps with any movement…

For this door, we’re using Sapele - an African hardwood, a dense timber that is stable and great for exterior use once sealed ✨

When organising measurements and building cutting lists, has been a god send for the community - let us know before if it’s something you use! 💪🏻✨

Many of our projects start with a measurements & a CAD drawing before our joinerysoft is sent off to suppliers, and our timber is delivered…

With the measurements in hand, we can cut to rough size, plane up and cut to accurate sizes before starts to assemble 🙌🏼

We invested in a portable CNC quite a while ago, and we’ve loved using it for cabinetry! ✨

Jason built the work counter to be able to store full size sheets underneath, as well as the that you see here…

With our design drawn out, and the measurements input into an optimised cutting software, we can translate these cuts to the machine 🙌🏼
